IGNOU January 2021 session registration deadline extended
IGNOU Registration Extended: Except for Certificate and Semester based programs, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline to register for online programs admission for the January 2021 session until April 30. Furthermore, the registration deadline for Admission in Distance Mode for UG and PG Programs for the January 2021 session (except Certificate, Semester-based, Merit-based Programs) has been extended until April 30. Students who have not yet applied for IGNOU admissions for the January 2021 session will do so before the deadline. To apply for admissions to the programs, they must go to the official website, ignou.ac.in. The deadline to apply for Online Distance Learning (ODL) mode programs was initially February 28. Except for diploma, semester-based, and merit-based programs, the registration deadline has been extended for all classes. IGNOU provides online access to a total of 16 courses. Those interested in applying for the courses should follow the steps outlined below.
Step to Apply for IGNOU 2021

Step1: Visit ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. for more information.
Step2: For registration, go to the provided link.
Step3: Fill in your details, including your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth.
Step4: Then press the ‘submit button.
Step5: Your registered email address or mobile number will receive a message containing your login credentials.
Step6: Now, select the ‘login' button and enter your login credentials, which include your application number or user ID and password.
Step7: Fill out the application form fully, including educational, course, and personal information.
Step8: Fill in four exam city options based on your preferences.
Step9: Fill in the remaining fields, then press the ‘submit and proceed' button.
Step10: Candidates must then upload documents in the specified file format, including a recent passport-size photograph and a scanned signature.
Step11: The size of the photograph must be between 10 and 200 KB, and the signature must be between 4 and 30 KB.
Step12: Select the online payment option and then press the "proceed to payment" button.
Step13: You will be able to pay with a debit/credit card or via net banking.
Step14: Check and double-check all data after a good payment.
Step15: Finally, press the ‘submit button.
Step16: Download the form, print it out, and save it for future reference.
Details/ Documents Required for IGNOU 2021 Registration Form:
- Scanned passport size photograph
- Scanned signature
- Class 10th marks sheet and certificate
- 12th class mark sheet and certificate
- Graduation/ qualifying exam degree
- Date of birth proof
- Identity proof (i.e. Aadhar card, PAN card, voter ID, driving license etc.)
- Category certificate (if possible)
- PWD certificate (if possible)
- Valid email ID and mobile number
IGNOU 2021 Application Fee:
For all applicants, the application fee is Rs.1000.
Fees can be charged online with a credit card, debit card, or net banking account.
There is no refund on the application fee.

- For candidates in the general group, the fee is Rs. 800.
- Rs. 600 for candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ EWS categories.
