B.Tech Food Technology Eligibility Criteria: In order to be eligible for the course, applicants who wish to pursue a BTech degree in Food Technology must meet certain eligibility criteria. There are certain minimum criteria for eligibility that must be met by the candidates for admission. Below are the eligibility criteria required for admission to BTech in Food Technology:

  • Applicants must have completed a 12th or equivalent degree from a recognized institution/board.
  • The candidate must have chosen Mathematics and Physics as the main subjects in Class 12, along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as one of the optional subjects.
  • In the qualifying test, the applicant must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60 percent (55 percent for the reserved candidates).
  • Applicants appearing for the final examination or waiting for the final result may also apply for admission to the BTech course in Food Technology.

  • JEE-Mains - It is a nationwide entry review carried out by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Nearly every engineering institute considers the ranking of this evaluation. The top 2.5 lakh score holders are entitled to sit for JEE-Advanced and have the opportunity to earn IITs and NITs admissions.
  • WBJEE - The WBJEE Board is conducting a state-level entrance test. The exam is for admission to undergraduate courses such as engineering, pharmacy, and architecture. It offers admission to colleges in West Bengal that are available.
