JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2021
The eligibility requirements for JEE Main 2021 have been decreased by 75%. Students must have received a minimum of 75 percent on the Class 12 examination or be in the top 20%ile in Class 12/qualifying exams held by the respective Boards to be eligible to apply for admission.
- Age Limit Criteria: Candidates for JEE Main 2021 have no upper age limit. Candidates who passed class 12th or equivalent in 2019, 2020, or are scheduled to appear in 2021, regardless of age, are eligible to compete in JEE Main 2021.
- Maximum number of Attempts: A maximum of three years in a row is allowed for candidates to take the exam. Candidates must be available for all four sessions: February, March, April, and May. These will all be bundled into a single attempt.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates who passed their XII or equivalent exam in 2019, 2020, or 2021 are eligible to take JEE Main 2021. To sit for the BPlanning Paper, candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with 50 percent in Mathematics and 50 percent in the aggregate of the QE. BE/ BTech applicants must have completed a qualifying examination that included Physics and Mathematics as required topics, as well as one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and Technical Vocational Subjects are also good choices. The Qualifying Examination in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry must be passed by BArch candidates.
- Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination: To sit for JEE Main 2021, candidates must have passed their XII or equivalent exam in 2019, 2020, or be appearing in 2021. Candidates who passed class XII or QE in 2018 or earlier, or who will take such an exam in 2022 or later, are not eligible to take JEE Main 2021.

Steps to fill the Application Form for Jee Mains 2021:
Step 1: Register for Jee Mains online using your own email address and phone number at the NTA's official website.
Step 2: Fill out the Online Application Form and write down the Application Number that the system generates.
Step 3: Submit a scanned photograph of I recent images (file size should be 10Kb – 200Kb); (ii) applicant's signature (file size should be: 4kb - 30kb); (iii) duly verified result awaited attestation form (file size should be: 50kb to 500kb); (iv) reserved category certificate (file size should be: 50kb to 500kb); (v) reserved category certificate (file size should be: 50k
Step 4: Pay the application fee with a debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI at SBI/Canara Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm Payment Gateway and retain a copy of the receipt.
Step 5: Download, save and print a copy of the Application Form's Confirmation Page for future reference (which will be available only after effective fee remittance).

JEE Main 2021 Counselling
Step 1: Registration - Candidates must first go to the official website of the JoSAA. To engage in JEE Main counseling, those who have qualified for JEE Main 2021 must register. The following are the processes to completing the JoSAA 2021 registration form online:
- JoSAA's official website can be found here.
- Enter your JEE Main 2021 application number, password, and security pin on the login page.
- Read the instructions and then select the 'I Agree' option.
- The JoSAA counseling form will be shown.
- Fill out the form and then click the ‘Confirm Registration' button.
Step 2: Choice filling & locking: Candidates will be required to lock their college and course choices in the second phase. Aspirants will be assigned seats based on availability and their preferences. The procedures for filling out and locking online choices are outlined below.
- Choose your colleges and courses on the online form.
- Candidates have the option to edit/change/delete their selections.
- Lock the options after you've verified them.
- After each round of counseling, candidates can finalize their selections.
Step 3: JEE Main 2021 Seat Allotment - Seats will be allocated to candidates based on their performance in JEE Main 2021. JoSAA will hold two rounds of mock seat allocation.
Step 4: Payment of JEE Main 2021 counseling fees -Candidates must pay the counseling fees and confirm their seats after the seat assignment procedure. Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee through Net Banking/e-Challan for the assigned seats. At the reporting center, all required documentation will be verified. Candidates will receive a provisional admission letter after their documents have been verified and the application money has been paid.
Candidates can float, freeze, slide, or withdraw if they are unhappy with their allotted seat.
Float: Candidates who want to keep their assigned seat or upgrade their seat can choose this option.
Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seats and do not want to participate in future rounds of counseling can choose the 'Freeze' option.
Slide: Candidates that choose the 'Slide' option will accept their assigned seat and continue their education at the same college/institute..
Withdraw: Candidates who have already taken a seat but desire to withdraw their acceptance must submit to the designated institute before the final round of JEE Main 2021 seat allocation.
Step 5: Candidates must bring their original documents to the authorized JoSAA 2021 reporting center and report to the center for document verification. If candidates fail to report to the center or do not show all of the needed documentation, their candidatures may be revoked. For verification and seat confirmation, candidates must preserve multiple copies of all documents.
