Some of the high scoring subjects include current electricity in physics, calculus in mathematics, and the organic component in chemistry based on current trends. The (Main) 2021 Joint Entrance Test is scheduled to take place from 23 to 26 February. Obviously, the February session exam takers have less than a month's time left. Since there is only so much that one can do in the last 20-30 days to cover the syllabus, it becomes reasonable to classify the most relevant topics/chapters that must be covered for the review.

The NTA is expected to publish the JEE Main 2021 admission card in the second week of February after the completion of the online registration for the exam. Interested candidates are advised to revisit the syllabus as the day approaches and make a list of the most relevant chapters/topics essential for the exam. The question is on what basis the chapter can be represented as being highly significant or less important. The solution is the weighing of points.

As per previous year’s articles, some chapters from the subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics have historically borne higher mark weighting compared to the others, based on the examination patterns in the past few years. Candidates involved in preparations may remember that physics is typically the toughest topic, whereas chemistry is considered to be the easiest.

JEE Main 2021:  It is just subjective and differs from student to student, though. However, in the central analysis over the last few years, a suggestion of the chapter carrying high mark weighting might be helpful. Referring to the subject of physics, current electricity, electrostatics, electronic devices, thermodynamics, and optics are typically the highest marked weight-bearing chapters in this subject, but it does not mean that candidates preparing for the examination may ignore other chapters.

For example, in this topic of JEE Main, equal mark weighting is typically carried through chapters such as the dual nature of matter and radiation, communication systems, physics and calculation, atoms and nuclei, function, energy, and strength, etc.

In JEE Key, mathematics is typically lengthy. However, in order to maintain one's place at the top of merit lists, according to the significant chapters listed, one must concentrate on practicing maths. The maximum marks weightage chapter in the math section is usually limits, consistency, differentiation, and coordinate geometry.

Candidates are advised to develop a clear understanding of the concepts of calculus when it comes to differentiation, as solving a differential equation can require knowledge of both differential and integral calculus.

Other chapters of mathematics are also heavily weighted, such as sets, relationships and functions, complex numbers, quadratic equations, matrices and determinants, 3D geometry, probability and statistics, and trigonometry. Candidates are encouraged to solve mock tests as much as possible to extend their coverage of different topics from mathematics.

Compared to the other JEE Key articles, the number of topics and sub-topics to cover is typically higher in chemistry. The variety of subjects is therefore also more common, and applicants will have to spend more time preparing for this section, although it is considered easier than mathematics and physics. Chapters such as organic chemistry, daily life chemistry, solutions, balance, and chemical thermodynamics are key topics for this subject.

However, while it is difficult to differentiate between chapters, studying in a concentrated manner can prove successful in cracking the engineering entry in the first attempt with time being a constraint for registered candidates.
