JEE Mains 2024

There are two papers in the Joint Entrance Examination, or JEE (Main). For admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at participating state government-funded institutions, including NITs, IIITs, other CFTIs, and institutions/universities, Paper 1 is administered. The JEE (Main) exam serves as a prerequisite for the JEE (Advanced) exam, which is administered for admission to IITs. For admission to B. Arch and B. Date of JEE Main Exam 2024: According to NTA, the exam will be held on September 19 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. What is the eligibility criteria for JEE main 2024?

10	Candidates who passed the class 12 (or equivalent) exam outside of India or from a Board not listed above should present a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) attesting to the fact that their exam was equivalent to the class 12 exam.
11	In the event that the class 12 exam is not public, the candidate must have already passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) exam.

JEE Main State Wise Eligibility

• The state code for JEE Mains eligibility is independent of the candidate's place of birth or domicile.

• A student's eligibility will be determined by the state code from which they passed the qualifying exam if they passed the 12th grade exam or a comparable exam from one state but took the improvement/supplementary exam from another state.

• The state of eligibility must be determined based on the state in which the study center is located and the 12th % required for the JEE Mains 2024 or similar test from NIOS.

• The State code of eligibility will be granted based on the permanent address in India as listed in the passport for Indian citizens who have completed class 12 or the equivalent in Nepal or Bhutan.

• The State code of eligibility for OCI/PIO passing the class 12 exam in India will be equal to that of Indian citizens, but OCI/PIO passing the class 12 exam from a college or institution abroad will be eligible for other state quota seats or All India quota seats in all NITs, IIITs, and Other-CFTIs (not for Home State quota seats).
