JEE Mains -2026

JEE Main 2026: During the first week of November 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will make the JEE Mains 2026 Notification public. It is anticipated that the exam will take place in January and April. The notice will include the dates of the JEE Main 2026 exams for both sessions.

Students may take the NTA JEE exam in one or both sessions, and the best of the two results will be used to determine their rank. For admission to IITs, only students who pass JEE Main are eligible to take JEE Advanced.

Following the issuance of the announcement, the JEE Main Application Form 2026 is anticipated to be made available in November. Soon, the JEE Main 2026 syllabus and exam pattern details will be made public. To begin preparing for the test, candidates can find the last year's JEE Mains syllabus PDF and exam pattern details here. To learn more about the exam format, candidates may also see the JEE Mains 2025 question paper PDF and other JEE Main past year questions here.

What is JEE Main Exam?

The national entrance exam for admission to B.Tech, BArch, and BPlan programs at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and numerous other private institutions/universities is the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), also known as JEE Main. The JEE Mains serves as a prerequisite for the JEE Advanced exam as well. The JEE Main test is administered annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

JEE Mains 2026 Syllabus

JEE Main Syllabus 2026: The JEE Main 2026 Syllabus PDF will be made available shortly by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To begin preparing for the JEE Main Exam 2026, candidates can view the previous year's syllabus here. Topics from the Class 11 and 12 NCERT in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics make up the JEE Mains syllabus for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech). Mathematics, general aptitude, and drawing are covered in the JEE Main test syllabus for Paper 2A for Architecture (BArch), although same subjects are also covered in Paper 2B (BPlan). This page contains the syllabus as well as information on the JEE Main exam pattern.

Is there any change in JEE Main Syllabus 2026?

No modifications to the JEE Mains 2026 syllabus have been notified by the NTA. In 2024, a few topics from mathematics, chemistry, and physics were dropped from the syllabus. Although they are no longer featured in the JEE Mains syllabus, all of the deleted topics are still included in the syllabus for classes 11 and 12. It is not recommended that candidates study the removed chapters for the 2026 JEE Mains exam. The subjects removed from the syllabus for JEE Mains are:

How to Download JEE Main Admit Card 2026

The steps listed below can be used by candidates to download their JEE Main admit card 2026.

JEE Mains Cut off 2025 Percentile

JEE Main Cutoff 2025: The JEE Mains Cutoff 2025 percentage has been made public by NTA. For information on the minimal score needed to appear in JEE Advanced 2025, candidates can view the JEE Mains 2025 cutoff here. There are two sorts of JEE Main Cutoffs: the qualifying cutoff and the admission cutoff. The minimum score required of JEE Main 2025 candidates in order to qualify for JEE Advanced is known as the qualifying cut-off. Each institute's opening and closing ranks serve as the JEE Main 2025 entrance cutoff, which is announced by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

Candidates must score higher than or equal to the JEE Main 2025 category cutoff in order to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. Candidates can only take the JEE Advanced exam to get admission to Indian IITs if they meet the JEE Main qualifying cutoffs. To be admitted to JEE Main participating institutions, candidates must achieve minimal ranks, also known as closure ranks. The entrance requirements for each participating institute have been made public by JoSAA. Knowing the minimum score needed to pass the JEE Advanced exam is made easier by looking at prior years' JEE Main cutoffs. Applicants can also view the opening and closing ranks for college admission by looking at the JEE cutoff per category below.
