CLAT (Common-Law Admission Test)

 

As of July 1, 2023, the CLAT 2024 Application Form is now available. The course outline and exam timetable have been made public. The examination day has been made known. An offline entrance exam for law schools at the national level is being given. This test is given by the Consortium of National Law Universities in order to admit qualified candidates. To be considered for admission to any of the participating universities that are failing under NLUs, applicants must submit the application form. Inquiring candidates will be accepted into the participating NLUs' undergraduate and graduate law programs. Candidates will be admitted through CLAT in accordance with the merit list that was made public at the time the results were announced.

How to Apply for CLAT 2024:

 

Step 1: Go to the CLAT website (the link is provided above).

Step 2: To register, click the register button and enter your name, mobile number, email address, and password.

Step 3: Log in with the provided information to complete the form.

Step 4: Begin providing the required information on the application form.

Step 5: Select the 22 national law universities of your choice.

Step 6: Upload the necessary scanned documents in accordance with the instructions.

Step 7: Complete the form and pay the application fee online.

Step 8: Print out the completed form for future use.

CLAT 2024 Exam Pattern:

 

Exam Mode: The exam will be administered in an offline (pen-and-paper) format.

Duration: Two hours will be given in total to complete the exam.

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Subjective Type Questions will both be included in the exam.

Medium: Only the English language will be used for the questions.

Number of Questions: There will be 120 questions total in the UG exam and 120 questions total in the PG exam.

Sections: The question paper for UG courses will have a total of 5 sections.

Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will earn one mark.

Negative Marking: 0.25 points will be subtracted for each unsatisfactory response.

CLAT 2024 Admit Card:

 

On the website, the CLAT admit card 2024 will be made available online. The admit card will be accessible online starting in November 2023.

 

Name, parents' names, other identifying information, a photograph, a signature, the exam date, time, reporting time, and other instructions for the exam day will all be included on the admit card for the same exam. For the day of the exam, candidates must keep a hard copy of their admit card.

 

 

CLAT 2024 Answer Key:

 

After a short while from the test, the authority will release the CLAT answer key 2024. On the website, it will be made accessible online. The provisional answer key will be made available in PDF form first by the Consortium of National Law University.

 

To download the answer key, candidates must log in using their registered ID and password. Candidates may object to the answer key if they have any concerns or questions about the questions in the answer key. The final answer key will be made public after all raised objections have been taken into account.

 

 

CLAT 2024 Result:

 

The organisation in charge of administering the exam will make the CLAT result 2024 available online. The merit list will then be created by the authority after it has been published on the website.

 

Based on the candidates' performance on the entrance exam, the outcome will be presented as a merit list. Candidates whose names are on the merit list will receive calls to participate in the centralised counselling process.

CLAT 2024 Cut Off:

 

The minimum score or rank required for admission to the various participating institutes is known as the CLAT 2024 cut off. If any applicants achieve a score or rank that is equal to the CLAT cut off for 2024, they will be admitted in that round.

 

The cutoff will be made available by the authority via online mode on the website. Only qualified applicants will have access to the website's cutoff scores.

CLAT 2024 Counselling:

 

 

In the month of December 2023, CLAT Counseling 2024 will be held. The counseling process will be carried out online during the various rounds. Only qualified applicants will be contacted to participate in the counseling process.

 

Candidates must choose which NLUs they want to be admitted to via an online form during the centralized counseling process. Admission to UG and PG programs at participating universities in the CLAT counseling process will be based on merit and preference. The candidates' seats will be allocated based on the preferences they indicated.

 

 

CLAT 2024 Counselling Process:

 

Declaration of Result: The announcement of the CLAT 2024 result is the first step in the CLAT counseling process. The counseling process will be open to candidates who have qualified for the exam.

Payment of Counselling Fee: After the results are announced, candidates must pay the counseling fee in order to proceed with the process. general category students must pay Rs. 30,000, while those in the SC/ST category must pay Rs.

Registration: Candidates must register for the counseling process by providing their contact information, academic background, and other pertinent data.

Seat Allocation: The candidate's rank and the choices they made will be taken into consideration when allocating seats. There will be several rounds involved in the seat distribution.

Verification of Documents: Candidates must check their documents at the designated college after being assigned a seat.

Admission Fee Payment: Candidates must pay the admission fee to secure their admission after their documents have been verified.

Reporting to the College: In order to complete the admissions process, candidates must finally report to the designated college.
