GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is a 3-year diploma program (plus 6 months internship) designed to prepare students as general nurses and midwives who can work in hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and NGOs.

It focuses on patient care, nursing practice, maternity care, child health, community health, and basic surgical & medical assistance. GNM is one of the most popular nursing diploma courses in India, especially for those who want to enter the healthcare workforce quickly and later upgrade to B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) or higher.
