CUET (Common University Entrance Exam)

 

For admission to undergraduate programs provided by Central, State, Private, and Deemed universities, the National Testing Agency will administer the Common University Entrance Exam. A national entrance exam is called CUET UG. The CUET exam 2026 is anticipated to be administered by NTA in May or June of that year. The test will be administered using a computer-based format. The first week of March 2026 is when CUET registration for 2026 will open. In order to apply for the CUET exam and get admission to the selected course and college, students must make sure they meet the necessary eligibility and program requirements.

 

Students may apply if they have completed Class 12 or are taking the Class 12 exams. Candidates must fill out the CUET application form and pay the examination fee by the deadline in order to be considered for CUET 2026. In order to fill out the form and choose CUET subjects that correspond with the subjects covered in class 12, applicants must make sure they have the necessary paperwork on hand.

What is CUET?

 

For admission to undergraduate (UG) or graduate (PG) programs provided by participating universities and institutes throughout India, the National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Every year, a nationwide admission exam is held. The largest UG entrance exam, CUET UG, offers a common platform for students looking to enroll in undergraduate programs at prestigious Indian colleges and universities. The test is administered computer-based (CBT) in more than 200 Indian and international cities. Depending on the quantity of applicants, CUET UG is administered in several stages.

About NTA: Conducting Body

 

The CUET 2026 exam will be administered by the National Testing Agency throughout several time slots. Admission to undergraduate programs at the participating universities throughout India will be determined by the results of the exam. NTA's responsibilities are limited to candidate registration, test administration, scorecard hosting, answer key hosting, challenge invitation, answer key finalization, and CUET result preparation and announcement. NTA's involvement will come to an end shortly after the CUET 2026 results are announced.

CUET 2026 Hall Ticket

 

The CUET 2026 admit card will be distributed electronically to candidates. The CUET 2026 admission card will only be available for download by applicants who have paid the CUET application fee. Without their admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam room. Applicants will receive contact information in the event that the CUET admit card contains any inconsistencies. NTA will inform when the CUET admit card will be available for download. Candidates should be aware that they will not receive a tangible copy of their CUET admission card.

How to Fill CUET UG Application Form 2026?

 

Candidates must go to cuet.nta.nic.in, the official CUET UG 2026 website, and select the "CUET (UG)-2026" button to start the registration procedure. To register or log in, click this link. The CUET UG registration page will now be shown on the screen.

 

Step 1: Registration

 

• Candidates must click the 'New Candidate Registration Here' option at cuet.nta.nic.in to start the CUET online form 2026 and carefully read the instructions before continuing.

• To generate login credentials, provide your address, phone number, and personal information.

• The login and password will be sent to the candidates' registered email address and SMS.

• After successfully registering, candidates need to fill up the CUET UG application form by entering the following information: 

• Candidate Name

• Father’s Name

• Mother’s Name

• Guardian’s Name

• Date of Birth from the drop-down box

• Gender

• Nationality

• Identity Type (Select a valid Photo Identity Card type)

• Identity Card Number

• Present and Permanent Address

2. Education Details

Step 3: Examination Centre Selection: Candidates must select the two CUET exam locations—states and cities—in the order they would like to take the test.

 

Step 4: CUET Test Paper/CUET Domain Subject Selection

• A minimum of three and a maximum of five subjects or papers are available for candidates to choose from.

• Candidates must choose the language or medium of the question paper they want to use in addition to the CUET domain subjects.

• Candidates must choose NA: Not Applicable for the remaining subject categories if they choose fewer than five subjects.

 

Step 5: Upload Photograph and Signature

Candidates must now upload their scanned photos and signatures in accordance with the guidelines. The information about the papers that need to be uploaded is shown in the following table.

Following this stage, candidates must confirm their email address and all the information they supplied. Upon entering the OTP that will be sent to their email address, candidates will be taken to the part where they can pay the CUET 2026 application fee.

 

Step 6: Application Fee Payment

 

To submit the CUET 2026 application form, candidates must pay the application cost. Candidates can pay the CUET application cost online using a variety of methods, including wallets, UPI, and net banking. The CUET cost for 2026 cannot be paid offline by candidates. For candidates from abroad, the cost will differ. Additionally, these candidates will have to pay extra to choose more subjects.

The screen displays the payment windows and a full breakdown of the application fee amount, which are:

Candidates then had to finish the payment procedure by choosing a payment method from Net Banking, Cards, or UPI.

An application confirmation message appeared on the screen when the payment was successful, and the candidates' registered email addresses also received the PDF and confirmation message.

How to Select CUET 2026 Colleges

 

When completing out the CUET 2026 application form, candidates must choose the colleges and courses. The CUET 2026 participating colleges will shortlist applicants for counseling based on the colleges and grades received. The following is the detailed procedure for choosing the participating colleges:

• Check out CUET's official webpage at cuet.nta.nic.in.

• Entering your contact information and personal information will create your username and password.

• Enter your login information and complete the CUET 2026 application.

• Based on your preferences, select the colleges and courses in the program and college selection area.

• Complete the remaining required fields on the application and submit it with the required application fee.

CUET 2026 Admit Card Overview

 

Candidates' personal information and exam paper specifics are contained in the CUET UG admit card 2026, an online document that serves as their hall pass to the center. The hall pass must be downloaded in PDF format after candidates log in to the exam website. Important elements including the candidate's name, roll number, photo, signature, exam date, time, exam center address, and other information are all contained on the CUET 2026 admit card. How to Check CUET Result 2025?

 

• Go to cuet.nta.nic.in, the official website of CUET UG.

• The 'CUET UG 2025 Scorecard' tab should now be selected.

• The CUET 2025 login page will now appear on the screen; enter your login information here:

• After entering the information, the candidate can view and download the CUET scorecard 2025 PDF.

CUET Score 2025 Re-Evaluation

 

No request for a score reevaluation will be considered once the CUET result 2025 is obtained. The final scores and percentiles will be those listed on the CUET UG 2025 scorecard. Before the specified date, candidates will have the opportunity to object to the CUET 2025 tentative answer key. 

 

 

CUET UG 2025 Passing Marks

 

A candidate must review the passing scores made public by the colleges and universities in order to determine whether they passed the CUET 2025 exam. All colleges and universities will disclose the CUET UG cutoff, or course-wise passing marks, following the announcement of the CUET results. These will be used to screen applicants for admission to UG courses.

Following the results announcement, the participating universities' CUET 2025 counseling dates will be revealed. Each institute will have a different CUET 2025 counseling timetable.
