JEE Main 2021 Phase I has been scheduled for February 23 – 26, 2021.According to the official notification, JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in four sessions i.e. in February, March, April, and May. The form correction window was closed, and the NTA released the JEE Main Admit Card on 11 February 2021.

In consideration of the significant decrease in the CBSE and other State Board syllabus, the JEE Main 2021 Exam Pattern has been updated. JEE Main 2021 Paper 1 for B.Tech consist 90 questions and the candidates will have to answer only 75 questions.15 Optional questions can be attempted out of the 30 questions and for these there will be no negative marking. This year, there is no alteration in the JEE Main 2021 Syllabus.

JEE Main 2021: Important points to know

  • NTA has agreed to conduct JEE Main 2021 in 4 sessions – February, March, April and May 2021.
  • Amid COVID-19, several boards have decreased the syllabus. Taking the same into account, NTA also agreed to revise the JEE Main 2021 paper pattern.
  • JEE Main 2021 Exam Papers will have options. There will be 30 questions on each topic of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, which are divided into two sections.
  • Section A will consist of 20 questions and Section B will consist of 10 questions. Out of the 10 questions asked in Section B, only half of the questions are needed to be answered.
  • The total number of questions to be answered will remain the same (Physics – 25, Chemistry – 25 and Mathematics – 25).
  • Contrarily to speculation, JEE Main 2021 Syllabus has not been reduced.
  • JEE Main 2021 will be held in 13 different languages this year.
  • JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in other regional languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu, as well as English, Hindi and Urdu.
  • JEE Main 2021 will be held at 329 exam centres in India.
