IIT Madras offers Scholarship for BSc Students

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has collaborated with Verizon India to offer a merit-based scholarship to students from low-income families who want to pursue a BSc in Programming and Data Science. IIT Madras said in a statement that meritorious women and students with disabilities would be given priority in selection for the scholarship, dubbed "V Provide Right Opportunity to Power Enabled Learning," or "V PROPEL." BSc in Programming and Data Science: The BSc in Programming and Data Science from IIT Madras was introduced as an online program in 2020. You will read more about the program at https://onlinedegree.iitm.ac.in. The scholarship is designed to help deserving students whose family's annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh. Financial aid will be given to selected students for four academic terms.

Prof. Mahesh Panchagnula, Dean, Alumni, and Corporate Relations, IIT Madras, highlighted the initiative's key features, saying, "Verizon India has been a long-time supporter of our efforts in assisting deserving students on their educational journey." We are thrilled to work with them once more to support financially disadvantaged students participating in the BSc program in Programming and Data Science.”
