IIT Madras' Research Scholars Day aims to bring like-minded people together by promoting the exchange of ideas and research interests. Study Scholars Day will be held online by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). Between April 2 and 4, 2021, IIT Madras will host Research Scholars Day. IIT Madras' Research Scholars Day aims to bring like-minded people together by promoting the exchange of ideas and research interests. “Shunya: Nanos to Cosmos,” which represents the pursuit of a sustainable future, is the theme of Research Scholars Day 2021.

Prof. Ashok Kumar Mishra, Dean Saying: (Academic Research), IIT Madras, stressed the importance of celebrating research, saying, "Being a part of Research Scholars Day (RSD) 2021 gives me a great deal of pleasure and excitement. Researchers at IIT Madras are constantly fostering study, and RSD has served as a forum for knowledge sharing among research scholars, academicians, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and practitioners of various specializations."

RSD aspires to broaden the boundaries of academic study and creativity beyond textbook theories and labs. Its aim is to put like-minded people together while promoting the free exchange of ideas and research interests. Around 570 faculty members, more than 3,000 MS and Ph.D. research scholars, 800 project staff, and a significant number of undergraduates work on research at IIT Madras.

IIT Madras said on Twitter: “IIT Madras is practically celebrating Research Scholars Day 2021 between the 2nd and 4th April 2021,”. Its aim is to put like-minded people together while facilitating the exchange of ideas and research topics. SHUNYA: Nanos to Cosmos is the theme, which reflects the pursuit of a sustainable future.” Between March 5 and 14, IIT Madras hosted the sixth edition of its Entrepreneurship Summit. IIT Madras claims that its e-summit is India's first ISO-certified event, attracting over 10,000 attendees each year.

In 2012, Research Scholars Day was created with the aim of raising awareness and celebrating academic research and innovation.

Despite the fact that RSD has always been open to all universities, this edition has seen substantial participation from universities all over India. RSD 2021 is intended to bring together a diverse range of research stakeholders, including scholars, academics, industrial R&D practitioners, and research supporting organizations.
