B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time course offered at a number of engineering institutes across the country, including IITs and NITs. Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest engineering fields. Mechanical engineering is the science that combines engineering, physics, and materials science concepts to create mechanical structures for design, research, production, and maintenance. It is a branch of engineering concerned with the design, manufacture, and operation of machinery, with core areas such as Mechanics, Kinematics, Thermodynamics, Material Science, Structural Analysis, and Electricity, among others. Working in a team is emphasized heavily since it is considered a crucial skill for anyone pursuing a mechanical engineering career. Mechanical engineers create everything from new batteries to sports equipment to medical devices, as well as personal computers, air conditioners, car engines, and electric power plants. Mechanical engineering has always been the most common engineering discipline. In the current scenario, India is rapidly changing its manufacturing landscape, and job opportunities in mechanical engineering have been plentiful since its inception. Mechanical engineering is concerned with the design and manufacture of computers, which eliminates human labor even more.

Engineering Lab

The Robotics Automation and Internet of Things Laboratory in the Department of CSE & IT has started research and development in the fields of robotics, automation, and the Internet of Things to help students realize their research potential and bring their innovative ideas and projects into action (RAIOT Lab).

The RAIOT lab has completed projects such as the 17 DOF Humanoid, Home Automation System, Quadcopter, Kick O' Wheelz: An Automation Powered Gaming Console, and others.

One of the most important subjects of engineering is engineering mechanics, which deals with the mechanics of different structures and components. Protection, strength, rigidity, durability, and behaviors of mechanical beams, trusses, struts, joints, and other technical aspects are ensured by laboratory results. The Mass Transfer Lab is designed to implement a fundamental analysis of mass transfer phenomena, establish methodologies for solving a broad range of practical engineering problems, and comprehend separation equipment in the process industry. It also ensures that unit processes are well understood. Diffusion mass transfer, cooling tower operation, dryer operation, crystallization, and absorption are among the topics covered by students.

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must meet one or more of the following requirements.

 

Eligibility for a Scholarship at 100%: 93 percent or higher in the aggregate in CBSE or ISC Board Class XII-2021/2020 (excluding Physical Education/ Fine Arts/ Performing Arts/ Vocational/ Non-Written Subjects).

 

Eligibility for a Scholarship at 50%: 88 percent or higher in aggregate in CBSE or ISC Board Class XII-2021/2020 (excluding Physical Education/ Fine Arts/ Performing Arts/ Vocational/ Non-Written Subjects).
