B.Sc. Hons. Microbiology is a 3-year full-time undergraduate program in Microbiology. Mycology, bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and other branches of microbiology are covered in the B.Sc. Hons. Microbiology program. Students in this course research microbiology concepts with a focus on microorganisms or human diseases. Students can learn about medical microbiology and an overview of microbiology, as well as disease transmission, pathogen detection and control, and immunology. The course needs a minimum aggregate of 55 percent in 10+2 or an equivalent test in a science stream from a recognized board.

Students studying BSc Hons Microbiology will learn about comparative characteristics of microbial organisms, general bacteriology and microbial techniques, pathogenicity, epidemiology, disease transmission, control of nosocomial infections, body defenses, immunology, hypersensitivity, physical and chemical microbial control, collection and handling of laboratory specimens, and common bacterial, fungal, and viral infections. Basic microscopy and instrumentation, Macromolecular structure and analysis, Principles of Immunology, Principles of Transmission Genetics, Recombinant DNA technology, Computational biology, and Bio-informatics are among the topics covered by students.
