B.Arch is a 5-year undergraduate program that focuses on providing candidates with training and technical expertise in the areas of constructing models of structures, planning a construction structure/blueprint using relevant techniques and concepts, and so on. With the advent of technology and the growing rate of urbanization, it has almost become a necessity to build systems that can meet the needs of the general public. Malls, commercial buildings, and flyovers, among other items, are in high demand. Architecture is the study of the artistic and organizational elements of a structure. The B.Arch program is structured in such a way that you can practice space management for optimal utility as well as architectural planning and design. The use of core mathematics is very limited in this area. This program is designed to produce licensed and trained architects who are qualified to work on both private and public projects. 

The practice of designing models of buildings, preparing construction blueprints, and other physical structures of any land and building is included in architectural research. Professionals and experts, which anyone can become after completing this course, can meet the growing demand in the construction industry and other commercial industries. This course covers a variety of topics from the arts, engineering, aesthetics, and other fields. The B.Arch curriculum includes theoretical classes, studio work, project work, practical training, and study training.


Eligibility Criteria for BArch

JEE Paper 2 / NATA eligible score 10+2 with PCM / 10+3 Diploma Examination with Maths as a subject and JEE Paper 2


Selection Process for B.Architecture 

Candidates may enroll in this program by taking the NATA or another architectural entrance test.

Amity School of Architecture and Planning has state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities, including centrally airconditioned studios, construction yard, model making room, climatology lab and surveying lab, carpentry Workshop, exhibition area, lecture theatres, well-stacked School, library, material lab, and wi-fi zone. These facilities are outfitted with state-of-the-art specialised equipment and apparatus that assist in the transmission of theoretical and practical knowledge to students.


Studios of Design

Build studios that are well-lit and air-conditioned, with drafting tables that are ergonomically built to enable students to work for longer periods of time.


Smart Lecture Halls/Classrooms

LCD projectors, air conditioning, and spacious lecture theatres ensure high levels of focus and learning convenience.


Architecture Labs at Amity University:

Amity School of Architecture and Planning offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and services in terms of laboratories, including centrally air-conditioned studios, climatology and surveying labs, and a carpentry workshop. These facilities are outfitted with state-of-the-art specialized equipment and apparatus that assist in the transmission of theoretical and practical knowledge to students. A rain scale, anemometer, dry and wet thermometers, Surface temperature measuring thermometers, and other advanced instruments are used in the lab to help students learn the basics of climate-sensitive architecture through hands-on learning.

Aside from the instruments listed above, the lab or surveying includes all of the instruments needed to perform field surveys for various sites defined for proposed developments, such as level rods, tripods, tape measures, chaining pins, and other typical surveying tools, as well as ancillary equipment. This lab is important for grasping the complexities of architecture and design. The Carpentry and Model Making Workshop allows students to create 3D models in order to visualize the projects they are working on.


Lab for Climatology, Acoustics, and Light in Architecture

Advanced instruments such as a rain gauge, anemometer, dry and wet thermometers, Surface temperature measuring thermometers, and others are used in the lab to help students learn the details of climate-sensitive design through hands-on learning. We have modern instruments, such as barometers, to teach students about the latest technology for measuring climatic conditions. Students get hands-on experience learning about the effect of the environment on architecture and how to build for it. To measure the illumination level of a specific room, we have devices such as lux level meters.


Laboratory for Surveying

The surveying lab contains all of the instruments, such as level rods, tripods, tape measures, chaining pins, and other standard surveying tools, as well as ancillary equipment, needed to perform field surveys for various construction sites. This lab is important for grasping the complexities of architecture and design. Students will gain additional expertise in fundamental land surveying measurement methods for architecture and interior design through the immersive studies in this lab.


Workshop on Carpentry and Modelmaking

Amity gives students the ability to build 3D models in order to visualize the projects they're working on. CNC devices, equipment, and accessories are all available to us. These labs have all of the required equipment for model making, furniture making, drilling, cutting, and sawing, among other things.


Material Museum

To familiarise students with the latest products available on the market, the labs show a variety of materials on tiles, wall tiles, flooring material, switches and sockets, plumbing materials, and finishes. Students can learn about the different types of bricks and cement that are available, as well as the latest building technology.


Exhibition Room

A permanent Exhibition Room aids in exhibiting student work, and serves as a resource for prospective students. Models and students' best work is shown so that students can see some of their seniors' best work and learn from it. This also motivates students to strive harder and achieve greater success in their chosen fields.


Yard of Construction

The school has its own construction yard, where students can practice building construction techniques firsthand. Students can learn how to lay bricks in the construction of a home. Students gain hands-on experience with building components such as arches and domes, as well as construction technologies such as water-cement ratios and binding materials.

After completing the B.Arch degree, students may either seek jobs to gain experience or obtain an M.Arch degree to specialize in the area of their choosing. Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Housing, Infrastructure Planning, and other M.Arch specializations are among the choices.
