Application Form for PU M.Ed. Entrance Test:


All eligible candidates thus seeking admission to M.Ed. (Regular) should have to apply for application form through online mode, and candidates have to submit the hard copy of the same form, as per the guidelines displayed on the Punjab University Website.

Here is the list of documents need to be submitted  to apply for PU M.Ed. Entrance Test:

  • A hard copy of the properly completed online application form

  • Copy of Mark-sheet of qualifying examination (B.Ed. or equivalent examination)
  • Copy of the certificate of matriculation for evidence of date of birth

  • Copy/ Copies of Seat Claim Certificate against Reserved Category (if any) 

  • Copy of the Claims for the Weightages Certificate/s (as per guidelines displayed on PU website)

  • Certificate(s) for claiming a UT pool seat as per Sub Appendices A1 & A2.

  • Affidavit for gap year, if any.
  • Domicile certificate as per the latest direction of the Punjab Government to claim the Punjab Quota.

Eligibility Criteria for  PU M.Ed. Entrance Test:


For Admission to M.Ed. (Regular):


  • Canddiate musta have passed a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed, B.A. + B.Ed., B.Sc. + B.Ed., B.El.Ed., D.El.Ed.) or Equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate for General Category and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwD category.

For Admission to M.Ed. Special Education (MR): 

  • A candidate who has successfully passed B.Ed Spl.Ed. with a minimum of 50 percent marks from a recognised university inthe respective disability area or some other degree deemed equivalent to B.Ed Spl.Ed. from an affiliated university and/or teaching department of any U.G.C.-recognized university with RCI registration.
  • A candidate who has successfully passed the B.Ed. General course and has completed a D.Ed. Spl.Ed. (Diploma in Education Special Education) in respective disability area with minimumum 50% aggregate marks in each course and recognized by RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India)
  • A candidate with B.Ed. in particular specialization may be allowed for M.Ed. cross-disability / multicategory (as and when offered) but the reverse is not approved. B.Ed. with multi-category a single disability should not be admitted for specialization at the M.Ed. level, however; they can admitted to B.Ed. Spl. Edu Area C Courses. as part of CBCS. To apply for a specific disability, complete the Specialization Courses. They can admitted to M.Ed. Spl. Edu in a specific disability, On the completion of Area C
  • A student with B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. B.Ed.Spl.Ed. (4 years Integrated)
  • Candidate should have valid RCI registration.

Marking scheme

  • For every correct response, candidate will get 1 marks.

  • 1 mark will be deducted for every four wrong responses. Marks will not be fractionally deducted, and no marks will be deducted for the last three incorrect answers.

Candidates are recommended to go through the syllabus before starting to study for the exam. The syllabus of PU M.Ed 2021 is

  2. The learner- Nature, and development (Educational Psychology)
  3. Teaching learning process
  4. School management
  5. Guidance and counselling


Merit list:


  • Candidates will be able to check the PU M.Ed 2021 merit list soon as the date has not been released yet. 

  • The merit list will be released on the official website of Punjab University in pdf format.

  • The merit list would include the names of all the applicants selected for admission to the M.E.D. course.

  • Candidates can check the merit list on the official website by entering the login credentials they created at the time of registration, i.e. the registration number, password, and application number.
