SET (Symbiosis Entrance test)

 

SET (Symbiosis Entrance test) is conducted by SIU (Symbiosis International  University, this exam is basically for Under graduate admission in Law, Management, Engineering, Libral arts, Computer Science, Economics, Mass Communication. Students can apply for application form till 28th June 2021 and SET Exam is Scheduled between 10th July to 13th July 2021. These are courses offered under this exam BA LLB/BBA LLB/BBA/BCA/BBA(IT)/BA(IT)/BA(MC)/BSc in BA LLB (Economics) BA/Hons (Liberal Arts) Hons/BSc (Liberal Arts) Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/BTech Hons/B (s). Since 2018, the SET-Law test has been known as the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), the SET-Engineering examination has been known as the SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE), and the SET-General test has been known as SET. These are held in several cities across India in an online home-proctored format.

SET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

 

The eligibility criteria for the SET A/SET B/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE 2021 entrance exam contain the requirements that aspiring applicants must meet in order to take the exam. To be considered eligible for admissions, you must meet the qualifying requirements. Candidates must meet age, qualifying exam and mark requirements, subject combination in qualifying marks, and other conditions as part of the SET A/SET B/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE 2021 eligibility criteria.

For various undergraduate courses provided by SIU associated universities, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

B.Tech

  • Physics and Mathematics have required subjects in class 12 and were passed with flying colors. Candidates must have completed at least one of the following vocational subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical.

  • In the topics listed above, you must have received at least 45 percent (in the General category) or 40 percent (in the SC/ST category).

BCA

  • 10+2 or a diploma in engineering/technology is required.

  • Should have received a minimum of 50% (in the General category) or 45 percent (in the SC/ST category) in the exam.

BBA

  • Passed a 12th-grade test with a minimum of 50 percent (45 percent for SC/ST students) from a recognized board.

B.Sc (Liberal Arts)

  • Passed 10+2 in any subject with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST students).

  • NRIs who are sitting their final Class 12th test in India are also eligible to apply.

  • NRIs, FNs, and PIOs must apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education (SCIE).

B.A.LL.B./B.B.A.LL.B.

  • Passed 12th grade with a minimum of 45 percent (40 percent for SC/ST candidates) in any subject.

  • Candidates who are awaiting the results of their qualifying exam may also apply. During the final admissions procedure, such candidates must provide their passing certificate.

B.Sc. Economics (Hons.)

  • Passed Class 12th in any subject with a minimum of 50% (45 percent for SC/ST students).

B.Des

  • Passed a 10+2 diploma in any branch or equivalent, or a 10+3 diploma with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

  • Students in their final year of study are also eligible to apply.

 

Step by Step Registration Process of SET 2021

 

Registration: 

  • Click on the 'Registration' option on the SET official website.

  • Before you begin the registration process, make sure you read all of the instructions thoroughly.

  • Click "Save and Continue" after entering your login credentials, such as your email address and phone number.

  • The login SET ID and password will be provided to the registered email address after a successful registration.

 

Filling of the Application Form:

In this step, the candidate must fill out the SET application form with the following information:

  • Personal details

  • Educational details

  • Address

  • Course opted for admission

  • Exam Centre

 

Uploading of images:

  • After filling out all of the needed information, candidates must upload their most recent scanned photograph in the format and dimensions specified by the university.

 

Payment of Fees:

INR 1750/- is the application fee. The SET application fee can be paid in two ways: online or offline.

 

Online Mode:

  • Billdesk Payment Gateway, Indian Bank Payment Gateway, or Easebuzz Payment Gateway are all options for the candidate. For one exam, you must pay Rs 1750, and for two exams, you must pay Rs 3500.

Offline Mode:

  • A Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1750 for one exam (morning or afternoon) and Rs 3500 for two tests is required for offline payment (one from the morning session and the other from the afternoon session).

  • This can be paid from any nationalized bank with a check payable to the "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" in Pune.

  • Select "DD payment" as the way of payment on the "Make Payment" tab. Take a printout of it, fill in the details, sign it, and send it to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS) at the following address:

Confirmation Page :

  • For future reference, the candidate should print out the completed SET application form.

  • Upon payment, the candidate will receive a confirmation email, and the applicant will be allowed to view the Admit Card only if the money has been received.

SET Counselling Process 2021

 

1. SET exam 2021 Personal Interaction/Interview (PI): Candidates will be interviewed by an expert panel from the industry or academia. The topic of the PI round will be:

  • General awareness

  • Extracurricular activities

  • Academics and candidate-specific field of interest

  • Communication skills and overall personality

2. SET exam Written Ability Test (WAT): Candidates will be expected to complete a PAT (Picture Association Test) and write a brief essay on any general topic chosen by the judging panel. Moreover, subjective-type questions and replies about the provided topic may be asked.

In addition to PI, WAT, and document verification, the SET counseling procedure 2021 at Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication [SCMC], Pune, would feature a Studio Test.
