Eligibility Criteria for DAIICT - DAT

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the fields of architecture, science, engineering, technology, humanities, social sciences, fine arts, applied arts or performing arts from a legal university.
  • Eligibility will also be taken into consideration for technical diplomas from nationally recognised institutions such as NID, NIFT, CEPT and Srishti School of Art and Design.
  • In the last qualifying degree/examination, applicants must have 55% or equivalent marks and are expected to show the provisional degree certificate or proof of completion of the degree.

Selection Procedure for DAIICT-DAT

 

  • Candidates without a valid CEED score for this programme will be chosen for an interview via a Design Aptitude Test (DAT)
  • Applicants with a valid CEED rating will be chosen for an interview if they are eligible under Part A and have earned a minimum of 25 marks under Part -B.
  • In addition, their CEED score will be used as the DAT score for certain candidates.
  • The final decision is based on DATT results., the Statement of Intent (SOP) and the interview combined scores achieved.
  • The DAT would make up 50 percent of the total marks given to the admission test, SOP 20 percent and the interview 30 percent.

Part 1

This test will assess the drawing abilities of the applicant, creative visualisation and the ability to perceive a dilemma.

Part 2

Recognition and comprehension of a variety of design idioms, visual/performative art styles, and traditions from different social and cultural backgrounds will be tested by the applicant.
