AILET- All India Law Entrance Test

 

All India Law Entrance Exam (AILET) is a national level test for the admission of qualified applicants to law courses at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctoral (PhD) levels. It is conducted by National Law University Delhi.

AILET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

 

UG Law course

 

  • Applicants passed a Class 12 or SSC exam or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • It is also available for candidates appearing for the qualifying examinations.

 

PG Law course

 

  • Candidate mus have passed LLB degree or equivalent with minimum 55% marks aggregate.
  • In the final year of the LLB degree, candidates belonging to the SC/ ST categories must secure at least 50% marks
  • Applicants appearing for their LLB exams for the final year are also qualified.

 

 

PhD course

 

  • Candidate must have passed LLM Degree from any recognized university
  • They should have secured at least 55% marks in the qualifying degree examination. However, if belonging to SC/ ST categories then the qualifying marks are 50% at least. Or
  • If candidates have completed their law degree along with a master’s degree such as MPhil in Social Sciences/ Humanities from any recognised university with minimum 55% marks. Such candidates should ensure that the research work they have conducted is relevant to any discipline of law and with special focus on topics like Public Policy of Law. Or
  • Candidates who have completed a degree in law and a PhD in any discipline. Or
  • Candidates who have served as a State High Court Judge in India for at least three years or Judge at Supreme Court of India.

Step 3: Upload scanned images of candidate

  • Photograph and signature should be in jpg/jpeg format.
