APEAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test)

 

APEAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) is generally administered on behalf of APSCHE by Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University of Kakinada, Hyderabad. It is a state level exam conducted for the admissions of Engineering, Agriculture and Medical courses by Andhra Pradesh. This common entrance test is a computer based online test for the entry into first year of professional courses. There are more than 425 institutes in Andhra Pradesh which take admission through AP EAMCET.

AP EAMCET Exam Instructions

 

  • Candidates are not allowed to the exam centre once exam has begun even if they are just one minute late. So, candidate must reach AP EAMCET exam centre on time.
  • Candidates should carry hard copy of AP EAMCET Hall ticket during the entry of to the exam centres for verification.
  • Candidates who belonngs to SC, ST categories must carry a copy of their caste certificate along with AP EAMCET 2020 hall ticket/ admit card and application form for verification at the exam centre.
  • Candidates are advised not to carry any prohibited items such as notes, study material, stationery, mobile phones, calculators, watches, etc. to the AP EAMCETexam centre. As officials will check candidates for these things during their entry in the AP EAMCET centre and if any candidate found with any of the above items will not be permitted to take the test.
  • AP EAMCET exam centre authority/officials will take biometric test for each candidate including fingerprint impression and photograph before permitting them into the examination hall.
  • Only exam invigilators at AP EAMCET exam centres will give instructions to the candidates about their allotted computers in the examination hall.

AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria

 

 It is compulsory to fulfill the eligibility criteria. If any false information is found in AP EAMCET Application Form, the candidate’s application would be cancelled. The eligibility criteria for applicants of AP EAMCET are:

  • Indian Nationals/PIO (Persons of Indian Origin)/OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Card Holders are eligible to apply.
  • As of 31 December, applicants must be 16 and 17 years of age.
  • Andhra Pradesh/Telangana students must have a certificate of residence.
  • As laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974, applicants also need to comply with local/non-local status criteria.

For Engineering – B Tech (Bio-Tech course)

  • The Board of Intermediate Education, Govt, of AP/Telangana only passed an optional subject in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry along with a bridge course exam in Mathematics.

For Medical/Pharmacy

  • Passed as an optional subject or with biological and natural sciences in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry
  • For Pharm D course, candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40% if candidates belong to reserved category i.e. SC/ST)

For Agriculture Courses:

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 qualifying examination with any of the subjects as under

AP EAMCET Exam Pattern

 

The AP EAMCET exam paper pattern is arranged by APSCHE Board. The exam is conducted separately for all streams like Engineering and Agriculture streams. Following is the distribution scheme for various streams.

 

Section-wise Distribution: AP EAMCET Exam Pattern

  • There are 2 subject groups named as PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) for Engineering and PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) for Agriculture.
  • Each section contains 40 MCQs with 4 options, except Mathematics.
  • Mathematics paper contains 80 Questions.
  • Each correct answer carries 1 mark.

AP EAMCET Exam Answer Key

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada will release the answer key for AP EAMCET preliminary exam for all the streams. Candidates would be able to download the answer key from the official website once it is released. The candidates who have appeared in the exam can also check the answers and analyse their marks based on the responses.

Candiates are allowed to raise objections if they are not satisfied with any particular response in the answer key. All the appeared candidates are advised to check the official website for any updates regarding answer key.

AP EAMCET Cut off

AP EAMCET Cut off will be for all categories separately once the result is declared. The qualifying percentage is 25% of the maximum marks of the AP EAMCET. However, there is no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST). The admission will be based on the percentage of seats reserved for the ST/SC categories of all the seats declared.
