VITEEE is a test that is administered by the Vellore Institute of Technology for B. Tech and B. Eligibility

Nationality:

  • The applicant must be an Indian national who is either a resident or a non-resident.
  • Foreign students who have studied/are studying in another country can apply directly through the foreign category at https://admissions.vit.ac.in/irapplicationug/.

 

Age Limit :

  • Candidates born on or after July 1, 1999, are eligible to apply for the UG Engineering Admission (UGEA) 2021. The date of birth on the High School / SSC / X Certificate shall be accepted as genuine. Candidates must present this certificate in its original form as proof of age at the time of counseling or admission, or they will be disqualified.

 

Qualifying Examination:

Candidates enrolling for UG Engineering admission must have passed or be scheduled to take one of the following qualifying examinations in 2021:

  • The State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), and the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), both in New Delhi, conduct the final examination for the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination.
  • A recognized Board/University conducts an intermediate or two-year pre-university examination.
  • Cambridge University's High School Certificate Examination or the International Baccalaureate Office's Geneva International Baccalaureate Diploma
  • Advanced (A) level General Certificate Education (GCE) test (London/Cambridge/Srilanka).
  • Regular 'NIOS' board applicants are also qualified for Undergraduate Engineering programs, according to VIT Norms. At the time of joining, applicants must present the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate.
  • They should also include their grades in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Total (all courses) on the application form, as well as a scanned copy of the mark list and any other applicable papers.
  • To be eligible for B. Tech. admission under the conventional mode, Indian citizens, NRIs, and PIO cardholders must appear in VITEEE-21 (Applicants under the International/NRI quota are exempted). In the event that VITEEE is canceled due to natural disasters, higher secondary school grades, JEE-21, or a legitimate SAT may be substituted as a qualifying criterion. In this scenario, applicants will be informed of the information.

 

Eligibility Criteria for The Qualifying Examination:

Candidates applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2021 must have a qualifying examination score of 55 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (+2/Intermediate).

Candidates applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2021 must have passed the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) with a minimum aggregate of 45 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

  • SC/ST candidates will be considered.

  • Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura are among the candidates from Jammu and Kashmir/Ladakh and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. They must present a CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY at the time of counseling, otherwise, they will not be considered for admittance.

Subject Eligibility:

All B.Tech. programs need candidates to have studied mathematics, physics, or chemistry in their +2 or higher secondary school.

Only those who studied Biology, Physics, or Chemistry in +2/Higher Secondary School are eligible for the Bio stream programs. Students must enroll in a mathematics bridging course as soon as they begin classes.

Step VITEEE 2021 Online Application Process

Step 1 -  Registration and Password

  • All personal information must be typed by the students.
  • The password will be sent to the student’s registered email address and mobile number.
  • VITEEE 2021 information will be delivered to students via their registered mobile number and email address.

Step 2 - Password Confirmation

  • With the acquired Email ID and Password, the candidate must log in to 'Registered Users.'

Step 3 - Filling Online Application Form

  • Before submitting the application form, the candidate must carefully fill in all pertinent information.
  • The application number will be generated after the submission.

Step 4 - Payment Options

The only way to pay for the VITEEE application form is to do it online at:

Step 5 - Signature & Photograph Upload

  • Signature size: Signatures should be between 10 and 200 KB in size, with dimensions of 3.5 CM X 1.5 CM.
  • Photographic specifications: Image size should be between 10 and 200 KB, with dimensions of 3.5 CM X 4.5 CM.
  • Selfies are not permitted.

Step 6 - Queries About Payment Transaction:

  • If the VITEEE 2021 application fee is charged during a transaction, do not attempt a new application.
  • Students can try making the payment again if the money is not debited the first time.‚Äč

 

Application fee:

  • An application fee is Rs.1150 for general candidates & 1050 Rs. through Mobile App. Candidates can pay online through Netbanking/Credit/Debit card. NRI students can pay 50 USD through online mode. The application fee for offline application forms is Rs 1250 that can be paid through a DD. VITEEE 2021 Cutoff

The official cut-off is not published by VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology). However, the information provided by applicants who took the exam in prior years was used to calculate the projected VITEEE 2021 cut-off. The cut-off is used to determine whether candidates are eligible for admission to VIT's B.Tech/B.E. programs. All applicants who wish to be considered for admission to the University's various engineering programs must meet the cut-off.

VIT University will not disclose any program-specific cut-off points. It will only publish the closing standings for each stream and campus. Candidates who rank first to twentieth in their class (1 to 20,000) will be invited to participate in the VITEEE counseling procedure. Candidates who receive a lower score than the category's closing score will not be considered for admission. As a result, in order to be eligible for the VITEEE 2021 counseling process, candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks in VITEEE 2021.

The difficulty level of the examination, the number of candidates who appear in the examination, and the total number of seats available are all criteria considered when setting the VITEEE cut-off. Step  to Apply for VITEEE 2021 Counselling Process

The following is a step-by-step VITEEE 2021 counseling method for qualifying candidates:

Step 1: Candidates must report to their designated counseling center and register for the counseling session.

Step 2: After that, the candidates must submit their documents to be verified.

Step 3: Candidates will be assigned to campus and branch based on their admission exam performance.

Step 4: The candidates' digital signatures, photographs, and fingerprints will be uploaded.

Step 5: After that, the candidates must upload their documents to their student profiles.

Step 6: Candidates must pay the required fee in order to secure their seat assignment. Candidates must send a DD (Demand Draft) for INR 50,000 payable at Vellore in favor of the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). A non-refundable cost of INR 11,800 will be taken from the total amount due for counseling.

Step 7: If candidates choose to stay in a hostel, they must submit a separate DD for INR 21,000 in favor of VIT payable at Vellore. The hostel admission processing cost will be reduced by a non-refundable amount of INR 12,000, which will be taken from the total payment.
