Eligibility Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed. CET


In order to apply for B.Ed CET 2021, a candidate needs to meet the laid eligibility criteria. Therefore, before applying, it is necessary for candidates to meet the criteria given below.

Academic Qualifications:


  • Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree and /or the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities can also apply
  • Dibrugarh University Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology or any other university recognized by Dibrugarh University with a specialization in Science and Mathematics.
  • Candidate must have passed a Bachelor's Degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidate must clear the B.Ed. the University's Common Entrance Exam for that academic session.



As per the guidelines 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks shall be given for the candidates in the eligibility criteria:

  • Belonging to the categories of  SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ PWD OR
  • Having a minimum of 5 (five) years of teaching experience at a school recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, at least up to the 10th grade.
  • Only those candidate will get the benefit of relaxation of marks who belongs to above two categories.


Exam Pattern


As per the prescribed exam pattern, candidates need to prepare for Dibrugarh University B.Ed CET 2021.

  • Maximum Marks – 70 marks
  • Type of Questions – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Number of Sections – 5
  • Number of Objective Questions - 70, each with one mark
  • Duration – 1 hour 30 minutes.

Selection Criteria for Dilbrugarh University B.Ed. CET


Selection for admission into the 2 years B.Ed. program shall be based on the following factors at any institution under Dibrugarh University:-

  • A Common Entrance Test (CET) is to be carried out centrally, with a maximum of 70 marks.
  • On the basis of the percentage secured in the HSLC, HS, the First Degree and/or Master's Degree Test, career success would carry a maximum of 30 marks.
  • In each test, 10 percent of the percentage of marks secured in H.S.L.C., H.S., Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree Examination are considered to be career results.For example: If in the first Degree Examination (Major / Aggregate) a student gets 53 percent, his/her career performance marks in that examination would be 5.3.



Reservation Criteria for Dibrugarh University B.Ed. CET


Dibrugarh University has pre-defined reservation criteria that apply to candidates in the reserved category. For different groups, statutory reservations will be made as follows:

  • SC-07%
  • ST (P)- 10%
  • ST (H)- 05%
  • OBC/ MOBC-15%
  • Differently Abled – 03%


Admit Card Process


  • The admit card for the B.Ed CET examination will be released on the official Dibrugarh University website.
  • The hall ticket must be downloaded by candidates by entering their username and password.
  • The admit card is a valuable document and under no circumstances can it be damaged/mutilated.
  • The admit card should be held by applicants until the admission process is completed.
  • Applicants are expected to bring their hall ticket to the examination hall without which they will not be eligible to participate in the common entrance exam for admission in B.Ed program in Dibrugarh University.
  • The admit card will be made available by the authority most probably in June 2021.
