UGC-NET 2021: NTA announced the examination to be held on May 2

NTA has raised the age limit for junior research fellowships and applicants will have one year of relaxation at the full age limit this year. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has raised the maximum age for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for the UGC NET exam to be conducted this year. The Association extended the age limit for applicants applying for a Junior Research Fellowship to 31 years. However, this amendment will only be valid for this year's examination.

UGC-NET 2021 Exam to begin from May 2

In this regard, the NTA clarified that this age limit will apply only in the course of this year's exam. Previously, the maximum age limit for JRF was set at 30 years, this time; the agency has given one year of relaxation. Recently, NTA has also announced 2021 dates for UGC NET. According to the schedule issued, the exam will take place on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 May 2021. This examination is being conducted for the Assistant Professor and the Junior Research Fellowship. There is no upper age limit for the qualifications of Assistant Professor.

Registration process to continue till March 2

In addition to the notice issued for UGC NET, the exam registration process also began on 02 February 2021. Candidates may apply for the same by March 2, 2021. The last date for the submission of fees is fixed as March 3, 2021. The UGC-NET 2021 exam will be conducted held in online mode. Candidates are advised to visit the agency's website nta.ac.in for more information related to the exam.

UGC-NET exam will be conducted in 84 subjects

There will be two papers for the NET/JRF test. They're supposed to be conducted in two shifts, morning and afternoon. The first paper will be of General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Teaching and General Research Aptitude, while the second paper will be about the relevant subject from your field. Candidates are eligible to appear in NET in 84 subjects. The first paper of the UGC NET exam consists of 100 points, with a total of 50 questions. And the second paper will consist of 200 marks 100.

UGC-NET 2021

University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is a national exam administered to choose applicants for either Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor at Indian Universities and Colleges. Until June 2018, NET was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on account of UGC. From December 2018 onwards, National Testing Agency (NTA) has been conducting the UGC-NET exam every year.
