In many ways, Mahatma Gandhi University has introduced new master's degree programs to meet the shortage of trained young researchers.In order to meet the shortage of trained young researchers, Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam has initiated new master's degree programmes in several streams. New courses have been launched under various sources, including MSc Statistics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, MSc Nanoscience and Technology (Physics), MSc Nanoscience Technology (Chemistry) at the School of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, MTech Energy Science at the School of Electricity: Candidates interested can apply at For non-reserved members, the registration fee is Rs 1100. For All India Quota, 20 percent of seats are reserved (AIQ). Furthermore, 20% of the seats for international students have been reserved. For the new courses, a total of 10 national candidates and two foreign candidates will be chosen.

MTech in the Science of Energy: In March 2021, MTech will launch in Energy Science. Just 10 national students and 2 international students will be accepted to the course initially. Based on the interest shown by the students, the size and scope of this programme can be extended.

As a result of the many MoUs already signed around the globe by Mahatma Gandhi University, students will have the opportunity to perform study in foreign laboratories. The last date to apply for this course is 28 February 2021.

In Energy Research, eligibility criteria: In nanoscience and nanotechnology, applicants must have obtained an MSc in physics, chemistry, materials science, polymer science, electronics or communication, civil engineering or similar degrees.
