JEE Main Rank List: Since the JEE Main examination is administered in several sessions (4-5 days in the morning and evening), the difficulty level varies with each session. As a result, the National Testing Agency normalizes candidates' JEE Main paper 2 scores to account for this. The authorities will consider the normalized scores from both sessions for those who took the exam in both January and April, while the single score will be used for those who took the exam in either January or April and thus the NTA will prepare and release the JEE Main 2021 rank list.

JEE Main 2021 Counselling: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is in charge of performing online JEE Main counseling and seat allocation. The authorities perform two practice rounds before proceeding to the final seven rounds of counseling. Candidates who qualified for the exam based on the JEE Main paper 2 results and whose names appear on the rank list will be required to attend counseling and fill out an option sheet to select courses and institutes. Seats will be allocated based on JEE Main scores, preferences, category, and the availability of seats in the participating NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
