Karnataka SET Exam 2021 postponed again

 

KSET Exam Postponed: Karnataka SET Exam 2021 has been postponed by the University of Mysore. Due to an increase in COVID19 cases across the world, the Karnataka State Eligibility Test 2021 for Assistant Professorship has been postponed. The review was set to take place in the state on April 25, 2021. Candidates can access the official notice at kset.uni.-mysore.ac.in, the KSET's official website. The examination has been delayed for the second time. The examination was originally scheduled for April 11, 2021, but it was postponed. The varsity will announce the new exam dates soon, according to the official notice.

KSET Exam Pattern: The examination will be conducted in 41 subjects throughout the state at eleven nodal centers. The KSET exam will be divided into two parts: Paper I will consist of 50 Objective-style compulsory questions, each worth two points. Paper-II will consist of 100 Objective-style compulsory questions, each worth two points, based on the candidate's chosen subject. On the Optical Marks Reader (OMR) Sheet issued with the test booklet, the applicant must mark the answers to questions from Papers I and II.

The KSET exam is a qualifying examination for Assistant Professor positions at Karnataka State Universities, Colleges, and Institutions (Government, Aided, and Private).

 

KSET Eligibility: Candidates who have obtained at least 55 percent (without rounding off) in a Master's Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi in the subjects opted for KSET, and 50 percent for Scheduled Group (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PWD), OBCs i.e. Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, and IIIB.

  • Candidates can only take the KSET in the related subject of their post-graduation; if the subject of their post-graduation does not appear in the list of KSET subjects, the candidate will take the UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET, which is held twice a year.

KSET: The KSET exam is held by the University of Mysore in Karnataka to recruit Assistant Professors and Lecturers in Karnataka's government colleges. The exam is divided into two parts: a written exam and a document review. To be qualified, candidates must achieve a score greater than or equal to the KSET 2021 cut-off.
