IIIT Hyderabad Launches Special Channe to BTech without JEE Main
IIT Hyderabad Admission: For its two BTech programs, IIIT Hyderabad has announced a Special Channel of Admission (SPEC). This channel aims to find students with exceptional abilities or backgrounds. Interested and eligible candidates will apply for 10 seats each in the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) BTech programs (CSE). The application portal will be open until the 10th of May.
IIIT Hyderabad Eligibility: A candidate is eligible if he or she has completed 12th class or equivalent by July 2021 with mathematics, physics, and chemistry and has qualified for the CBSE's UDAAN scheme or has studied at a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) for at least the last two years (11th and 12th) or is currently enrolled in the fourth semester of an integrated, six-year, 12th + BTech program offered after class 10th.
Step to apply IIIT Hyderabad
Step 1: Go to IIIT Hyderabad's official website, www.iiit.ac.in/.
Step 2: Scroll down to ‘SPEC 2021 Admission Portal is Now Open' on the homepage and check ‘Click for more information' beneath it.
Step 3: Click ‘Application portal is open from the drop-down menu or clicks here.
Step 4: Fill out the registration form with all of the required information. For future logins, create a password.
Step 5: Complete the application form and upload the necessary documents.
Step 6: Pay the Rs 500 application fee and print the application form for future reference.
IIT Hyderabad Exam Date and Syllabus: On June 2, applicants must sit for a computer-based entrance test administered by IIIT Hyderabad. The exam will assess subject knowledge, and the syllabus is focused on physics, math, and chemistry at the 11th and 12th-grade levels (CBSE and most state syllabi). To be admitted, applicants who are shortlisted from this exam must pass an interview. The final offer of admission is made solely on the basis of the interview results.
IIT Hyderabad: The International Institute of Information Technology (IIITH) in Hyderabad is a well-known higher education institution.
