Curriculum for Engineering Courses to be Revised: AICTE Chairman Dr. Sahasrabudhe, speaking at a virtual conference on the topic of Higher Education in India post-COVID, said that course curriculum for all streams, including arts, commerce, and science, as well as engineering, needs to be relooked and revised to meet the challenges posed by the current circumstances. “Curriculum is a vibrant thing,” he continued. Courses to be Redesigned for Online Mode: Dr. Sahasrabudhe remarked that while online education is the need of the hour during the COVID-19 crisis, a thorough transition from classroom to online education is also required. The quality of engineering courses has worsened as a result of employing the old course, which was created for offline training. As a result, these courses will need to be redesigned to suit the challenges of virtual classrooms. In terms of the future, he believes that courses should be built for blended learning, which will become more frequent in the post-COVID period.
